But I think that my favorite part of the game is that the cases are all interlaced. PW cases have, with few exceptions (Case 3-3 & 3-4 come to mind), been stand-alones, although characters reappear in different settings. This game, on the other hand, has each case sort of flow into the other, one large over-arching story mixed in with each, full-length and equally enjoyable case. This time, when characters reappear, they have a purpose. You recognize them from previous cases, and little things that were thrown at you in previous cases suddenly take on new meaning. It's a new spin on PW, one that I am really liking.
I've found some more easter eggs in case 3 (I only spotted one in case 4), as well as some I realized I forgot in the previous post, so here they are:
King of Prosecutor’s Shield
Edgey’s pretty puffy shirt (maybe not a throwback as it was in his office during Case1-5 and it would be weird if it suddenly wasn’t there)
Gatewater hotel (where Case 2-4 took place with Matt Engarde)
Gavinners (Gavin’s band)
Jake Marshall’s cactus
Precinct chief (guy in the background of the police station by the window that would say random thing if you examined him)
Phoenix, Maya, and Pearl in a boat
What Edgeworth did in the elevator during the DL-6 incident
The fire extinguisher
I have a third mini-rant, but I think I should save it for when I've finally beaten the game, as well as my final thoughts on the matter.
