Ace Attorney Investigations
As of 5 minutes ago, I'm officially on the last case of the game. It's been a really fun ride. Like I said in my previous mini-rant about AAI, it took me a little while to warm up to it, but now it's become one of the most fun PW games I've ever played. This, however, doesn't make it better, simply enjoyable. I miss my Feenie (and Apollo), but having Edgey around is a wonderful thing. All of the characters, with the exception of maybe Cammy (and the Amano's) I've found to be awesome. Granted, Capcom clearly ran out of names by case 4, but the names aside the characters are awesome. I'm really liking Lang and his relationship with Shih-Na, even if Shih-Na had about 8 lines.
But I think that my favorite part of the game is that the cases are all interlaced. PW cases have, with few exceptions (Case 3-3 & 3-4 come to mind), been stand-alones, although characters reappear in different settings. This game, on the other hand, has each case sort of flow into the other, one large over-arching story mixed in with each, full-length and equally enjoyable case. This time, when characters reappear, they have a purpose. You recognize them from previous cases, and little things that were thrown at you in previous cases suddenly take on new meaning. It's a new spin on PW, one that I am really liking.
I've found some more easter eggs in case 3 (I only spotted one in case 4), as well as some I realized I forgot in the previous post, so here they are:

I have a third mini-rant, but I think I should save it for when I've finally beaten the game, as well as my final thoughts on the matter.

I agree that the Amano's are not that exciting.
Haha the game really is hugely fanservice-y with all of the cameos, but I love it. I particularly loved the Viola/Tender Lender and Jake's cactus cameos. I've only just finished the 3rd case. Which case would you say is your favorite, so far?

The Amano's aren't interesting, but the story was. Especially since it had so many GS4/PW4 references in it.
It is hugely fanservicey, but it really is a good thing. I'm having fun trying to notice all of them. The only one I'm sad they didn't have was the ladder/stepladder one. I'm working on the 5th... Hmm... I guess the 3rd one. The 4th is fun, but not as compelling... And I really, really hate Von Karma and wish she wasn't in every freaking case...
