So True Blood just started today and OMG it was amazing.  Thank god it didn't take a page from Season 2's book, everything was action packed and suspenseful and actually made me give a damn!  I know Alcide doesn't show up until about episode 3 or so, but I'll be damned if I didn't spend every minute waiting for him to show up.  Then there was that scene with Bill and Sam.  Damn. It was hot and awkward and such a tease.  Sam's reaction to the whole thing was hilarious.  I hope they do more with it.  Tara is still fighting for my attention (I want the fierce Tara back, screw insecure Tara), but damn if Lafayette wasn't being his fine beautiful self the whole episode.  And then there was Pam.  Oh Pam I love you, and you had some of the best lines tonight.  Jason was at his best, being Jason.   Anything Jason says is funny, regardless of whether or not he's trying to be insightful.  Sookie was back to being annoying Sookie, but it was clear that will change fast, so I'll put up with her for now.  Bill was interesting again, after about a season of just being there to be there and not really having any sort of purpose.  He quickly reminded me why I loved him in season 1.  Sam spent the episode being a creeper, but it was a fun creeper so I didn't mind.  I rather enjoyed his scenes.  The show reminded me why exactly I love it so much, and what made it so crazily popular in the first place.  So good riddance to memories of a lackluster season 2 (although they did improve a lot upon the plot in the book--which is saying a lot), and hello to the (hopefully) wonderful Season 3!

Favorite Lines from the episode:
"Conscience off, dick on."
"If you really want to fuck somebodies life up, tell the truth about them."
"Bitch--you, me, bridge ain't gon' never motherfuckin happen."
